The Black Maxi Dress

This is possibly the shortest and quickest blog post I've ever written but I wanted to share it with you because I was much too excited not to.It's getting a tiny bit warmer here in England,which to me,means I need to start shopping for summer clothes.When I was shopping in Matalan,I came across a wonderful,plain black maxi dress for only £10.It may seem quite boring to you but I've wanted one for literally ages,however I hadn't seen any maxi dresses in a shop since last year,so I had to buy it.

This dress is so perfect for summer because you can wear it with almost anything and they look amazing.I also absolutely adore this particular one because it has slits either side of the leg.This is just one style that I quickly put together(excuse the mad awful photography.)

I think the dress looks great with a pair of creepers,so I paired it with my leopard print ones and a pair of Topshop's grey frill socks.

The only thing that I slightly dislike about maxi dresses is the fact that most of the have very low cut backs,which means no bra.If you want to wear a bra with the dress,I suggest wearing a strapless one with a jacket or something to cover the back,unless of course it doesn't bother you.

If you live in England like me,you'll know that it isn't quite 100 degrees Celsius just yet,so I finished the simple little outfit with a denim jacket.You can wear any jacket with this dress,but I chose this one.
