How To Style Tartan

It seems to me that tartan has literally burst back onto the fashion scene with in the past few weeks. Everywhere I go,somebody is talking about wearing tartan. But do you know how to wear it right? Maybe you don't. Or maybe you're a secret Iris Apfel and you do. But I'll show you how I wear them anyway.

The Tartan Scarf

I am literally in LOVE with this scarf and I wear it just about every where I go. It's warm, the material feels amazing and it's a seriously fashionable accessory.
I normally pair this scarf with a plain jumper or t shirt, some black jeans and a black or brown pair of Chelsea boots.
There are lots of different colored scarfs from so many different places but I chose this one from NEXT,which was on sale for only £6.

The Tartan Leggings/Trousers

Ever since I bought these leggings,I have worn them none stop. They're so so comfortable and they look great. I prefer the leggings to the trousers for some reason, even though the trousers look amazing too.
I always pair these black and white leggings with a plain jumper,a cropped denim jacket and brown Chelsea boots.
The pair I have were really cheap for only £6 from Primark. The shop I went to didn't have a changing room but I bought them anyway because they were so cheap and it wouldn't annoy me if they didn't fit. There were also a bright red pair but I prefer these ones, because you can wear them with different colored jumpers and shirts.
Jacket - £35 ASOS
Jumper - £13 Topshop
Boots - £45 Topshop

The Tartan/Plaid Shirt

This last one isn't really tartan but it still runs along the lines. This is my favorite out of all three of the outfits because it is laid back and comfortable but it still has a bit of edge.
I wear this over sized shirt with a pair of short dungarees, plain black tights and a pair of shiny black lace up shoes.
This shirt was a little bit more expensive than the other 2 items at £32 from ASOS.
Dungarees - £5 Primark
Black Top - £4 Primark
Shoes - £20 ASOS

So there's just a few ways that I like to wear tartan. Obviously you can wear you patterns however you feel comfortable but I hope my ideas helped.
